Your Start Page

The Start Page is the page that you look at everytime you first log-on to the Web. It can be whatever site you want. If you find that the first thing you do everytime you log-on is go to AltaVista and search for something, then save yourself some time make AltaVista your Start Page.

Here's how you do it (with Netscape):

1. Click on Options
2. Select General Preferences
3. Select the Appearance tab
   about one third of the way down the current window you'll see a box titled "Start With"
4. Type-in the address of the URL you want to start with (in this example http://www.altavista.digital.com)
5. Click OK
